Welcome to The Evason Phuket. The Evason Phuket is set on 64 acres of lush tropical gardens, facing the Andaman Sea. The resort has its own island (Bon Island) with a private beach exclusively for the use of the resort's guests which is located only 15 minutes away by a free shuttle boat. The island has a beautiful white sand beach and crystal clear waters that are ideal for snorkelling. Back-to-nature dining and snacks are available on Bon Island, as are changing rooms and showers.

Location
Travelling time from the airport is approx. 45 minutes. The resort operates its own airport transfer service. See tariff sheet for details. Phuket Town is 15 minutes from the resort and a shuttle service is operated several times a day. Two return shuttles operate every evening to Patong Beach, the nightlife area of Phuket. Patong is 20 minutes drive from the resort.

Room
Guest rooms and suites feature a fresh and unconventional design which is an entirely new concept for Phuket. Most rooms have open-style bathrooms which create more space and lightness in the room. A totally new approach to materials, finishes and colours contribute to a refreshing holiday experience.

DINING : Evason Resorts have always placed quality dining at an affordable price high on the list of guest facilities, and the resort has a number of options that will appeal to all tastes. Apart from the main restaurant, guests can choose from a fusion fine dining restaurant, Asian specialities and a lunch terrace with stunning view. There are several bars and a discotheque to choose from, and BBQ's are frequently organised in different locations with spectacular views on the spacious grounds of the property. Even the room service selection represents a trully different and interesting fare to that offered in the other food and beverage outlets.

SPA : At the same time, a wide variety of water sports, tennis and other activities are available. Our holistic Six Senses Spa goes beyond just friendly pampering and provides truly relaxing and revitalising as well as healing treatments.

Reviews
The Evason is a stylish, exquisitely-appointed resort. The atmosphere is relaxed and understated. The Infinity Pool which juts out over the ocean is magnificent as is Bon Island where you can snorkel, canoe and windsurf. This hotel is suitable if you truly want to be far away from the frenetic bars and nightlife associated with other beach areas on Phuket.
Be aware that because of its fairly isolated position, restaurant prices etc. at Evason are higher than those at Patong where there is a more competition. However, it is extremely pleasant to walk down to Rawaii which serves the locals, not tourists, where you can patronise the waterfront seafood restaurants, minimarts and laundries for a fraction of the price you would pay at the Evason. Watching the fishermen at Rawaii Beach is a welcome dose of reality not available at more touristed beaches.
There are two free bus services to Phuket Town daily which gives you the opportunity to find the best value shopping on the island and have lunch at any number of westernised or Thai cafes. At night, the resort runs services to Patong at fairly steep prices. As you walk out of the resort, you will see Kuson Tours. This is a reasonably priced local taxi service and you can also stock up on water, chocolates and other basic supplies at the shop.
The service at the Evason can vary from excellent to quite ordinary. The problems are caused by a language barrier not because of an unwillingness to help. The management says that this is being addressed. In general, the resort runs efficiently with the housemaid service in particular being superb.
The hotel is called the Evason Resort and Spa so it would be remiss of me not to mention that the staff employed in the spa section have exemplary skills. Once again, the costs for these services are not cheap and prices are on a par with those in Australia or the United States. We met a number of people who could not afford the Evason Spa prices but who claimed to receive a revitalising massage at the small massage and beauty shop near Kuson Tours.
The Evason Resort is probably not suitable for very small children or those who have mobility problems. The resort is spread over a wide area and whilst a very efficient bus service transports you to the spa, the gym, the three swimming pools, the restaurants and the jetty to Bon Island, there are inevitably cement stairs to be negotiated.
At present, because of refurbishments, the Evason Resort and Spa is offering excellent room rates. This is an opportunity to truly escape from the hustle and bustle without being annoyed by hawkers on the beach. Do be aware that you are very much dependent on the resort for supplies of almost everything, unless you are willing to walk down to Rawaii which is highly recommended. Have a swim in the Infinity Pool for me!
