Location
The Marriott Royal Garden Riverside is located on the bank of the legendary Chao Phraya River adjacent to the Bangkok Bridge with direct access to the airport expressway. On the river, you can reach ancient floating markets; the magnificent Grand Palace; splendid Buddhist temples, like Wat Poh with its colossal statue of the reclining Buddha and Wat Arun, the Temple of dawn, with its awesome tower, embedded with an array of colourful porcelain. Flowing from the river are narrow canals, called Klongs, where long-tail boats lead you to further discoveries: over 400 temples in all, a city of unbridled energy, bursting at its seams, but with unmatched hospitality, world-class shopping, exquisite dining and legendary night life.

Situated in low-rise colonial-style buildings overlooking the river, our guest rooms are well-appointed for relaxing in serene comfort and provide breathtaking views from your private balcony. The Manohra Song, a fully restored traditional rice barge, is an extension of the resort's accommodations, offering four stateroom cabins with separate shower and luxury amenities. All of the hotel’s 417 rooms, whereof 67 are Suites, feature king or double/double beds.
It allows guests an overnight cruise option to the ancient ruins of Ayutthaya, a truly Thai holiday experience.

Reviews
Best value for a riverfront hotel. Most restaurants offer a choice of indoor/outdoor tables. Pool/spa/jacuzzi centrally located to all rooms and nicely designed with pool snackbar. Breakfast and Dinner buffet options offer extensive choices for all tastes. Hired riverboats can pick up at the hotel dock. Regular cross-river service to Oriental Hotel dock for "downtown" access and skytrain station.

This is a great hotel with many good quality facilities all, of course, with the highest standard of Thai service. The only draw back is that it is about a mile down river from the centre of things. However, the hotel provides a frequent, complimentary ferry service. A small trade-off for a spot of tranquility in this frenetic city.
