BANGKOK PALACE HOTEL FORMER MERCURE With such a strategic location, mid-way between the Pratunam Market and the World Trade Center, in the working heart of downtown, with such a well trained staff kneeling to serve you a drink, and with its 650 comfortable rooms and suites, the three star BANGKOK PALACE HOTEL should be one of the most expensive hotels in Bangkok.
But this is actually not the case: after being backed by the reputed ACCOR group, its new Thai management works like a hard discounter. Therefore, we were surprised to receive a spacious "Deluxe Room", on the Executive Floo. Of course, there is a pool, Jacuzzi, brand new fitness centre, and sauna. You will find a pleasant "Lobby Lounge & Bar", just opposite the "Palace Bakery". Many restaurants. Three massage parlours are welcoming the bodily weary and sybaritic guests. The "Grand Ballroom", very popular for seminars, can receive up to 1,500 guests.

Should have been given a 4-star rating instead of a 3-star. Convenient location and reasonable pricing. I truly enjoyed my 3 nights in Bangkok Palace. Everything is so good about this hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was fairly accomodating and the pool was excellent. The staff at the gym was really nice but the massage I had was awfull. The masseuse was quite unprofessional and seemed unskilled. The breakfast was terrible as well but it was included in the price of the room.
